Hullo everyone,

Some of you may be wondering why I have stopped taking photos. Believe me, I haven't! My whole summer was spent with a camera round my neck, it's just that I forgot my HDD abroad, and will be getting it back pretty soon. Thus I warn you: many works to be uploaded! Most of them will be landscape and street photography, although I will upload some of the studio work I did in Paris during a workshop. Hope that there has been an improvement

OH MY GOD.

My dream came true. Unbelievable. Of course, it's not on the scale that I'm ultimately aiming for, but yes, some of my work is up at the Cultural Foundation along with photos from members of my photography club and participants of the Emirates Photo Competition (I'm not part of it).

I just found out half an hour ago. I didn't even know my work was up! Funny how the exhibition would have passed and I wouldn't have gone to see it.

The man to whom I handed in my photos, never got back to me, and I never pestered him. Next time I'll be more stalkerish.

Anyhow, the work I've selected is from my abstract Directional Light Source series, and I've assembled it into a 6-piece set that talks about the history of the universe, the Big Bang up till the present. I know it's not very good to give a name to your art, but I know that I find abstract art very annoying, because I can never figure out what the artist is trying to say, so I thought I'd go "2nd millenium" and spell it all out. Sorry.

All you Abu Dhabians, make sure to go. There's a lot more to see...or so I'm told, because I've yet to go myself.

I know I haven't been posting much, it's just that I've been busy making my portfolio.

I'm back in my own skin. Life is inspiring me again. So is deviantART. I'm at a stage where I'm in love with everything, and find it hard to choose between all those options on offer. I suppose it will take me a few years to develop a style, to know what I like to shoot best, to know what I'm good at, know my strengths and weaknesses. I'd love to do this all my life, and actually earn some money to pay for my bread and milk. Although I admire artists that shoot for the sake of art and don't earn enough to pay the rent, I don't think I could do that. I'd love to hold exhibitions and publish coffee-table books (oh i love them so!) and have my work featured...but this doesn't come easy. I don't have a plan yet, and I have no idea what it takes to get to places of the high and distinguished echalons of photographic society, but I know that I have a passion, and I'm willing to work for it. Let's hope my camera will show me the way.
